After dedicating myself to the field of aesthetic dentistry, I came to believe over time that true and lasting aesthetic results cannot be achieved without incorporating anti-aging principles.

In my clinic, every treatment plan is designed not only to address current issues but also to prevent potential future complications.

In 2018, I launched a YouTube channel named KIZ KULiSi to share my knowledge on anti-aging and wellness procedures, which also reflects the philosophy guiding my professional journey.

For every patient visiting my clinic, a comprehensive medical file is meticulously prepared. Our team of doctors and assistants, all experts in their respective fields, work under my supervision with a shared vision and approach.

At my clinic, which also provides support in the field of medical aesthetics integrated with anti-aging smile esthetics, our mission is to ensure the most natural smile for our patients, maintained for the longest possible duration.

Who is Yeşim Makzume?

Yeşim Makzume was born in Ankara and graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1996. She began her professional career in Ankara, and after getting married, she continued to practice in her own clinic in Izmir.

Later, she moved to Istanbul, where she completed the Marketing and Public Relations program at Boğaziçi University, followed by the Healthcare Management program at Istanbul University to better understand the operational aspects of the medical field. After a period at the dental clinic of Bayındır Hospital, she treated patients at Swisscenterdent in Istanbul, and later continued her professional path in the clinic of Prof. Dr. Tosun Tosun.

Advocating the belief that a beautiful and natural smile plays a crucial role in expressing self-confidence, Yeşim Makzume focused her work on the field of aesthetic dentistry.

She completed a Master’s program in Aesthetic Dentistry accredited by Pacific University through CME International. Her notable international training experiences include:

• Attended lectures on smile design and aesthetics by Dr. Didier Dietschi, a faculty member at the University of Geneva, at the Geneva Smile Center in Switzerland. Participated in all workshops on “Composites in Aesthetics.”

• Received training on laminate veneers, aesthetic concepts, and digital applications in smile design from Dr. Domenico Massironi in Milan, Italy. She further developed her expertise in minimally invasive treatments through Microdentistry workshops.

• In Athens, Greece, she trained with Dr. Stavros Pelekanos on single implant placements in the aesthetic zone and achieving optimal soft tissue aesthetics.

• Participated in the “Aesthetic Excellence” working and development groups led by Dr. Galip Gürel.

She also joined the Aesthetic Dentistry group at Dr. Maxim Belograd Academy and participated in the following workshops:

• Rubberdamology in Prosthetic and Aesthetic Dentistry

• Temporary Restorations: Veneers and Crowns

• The Art of Impression and Retraction

• Direct Anterior Composite Restoration Techniques

• Attended a course by Dr. Edward McLaren on Digital Smile Analysis and Photoshop applications.

To complement her holistic approach in aesthetic dentistry, she completed certified training in phytotherapy, mesotherapy, and ozone therapy at the University of Health Sciences.

Recognizing the powerful role of medical aesthetics in smile design, she also emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and proper referrals. To this end, she pursued further international education, including:

• Botox and dermal filler training with Dr. Zavier Goodarzian in London.

• Mesotherapy and chemical peeling training with Practitioner Nurse Pam Cushing.

• Advanced dermal filler and botox training with Dr. Sacha S. Parker in Miami.

• Lip filler masterclass and facial analysis & volumetric facial rejuvenation training with Dr. Zac Ally in London.

Currently, she practices at her clinic in Nişantaşı and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Oral Implantology at Kent University.

To share her insights and knowledge in aesthetics and wellness, and to engage with forward-thinking women preparing for the future, she launched the YouTube channel KIZ KULiSi.

Her interest in art, which she believes is closely connected to her profession, began in childhood. Later, she participated in two group oil painting exhibitions, with some of her works displayed at the Izmir Museum of Painting and Sculpture.

Sports have always been an integral part of her life. During high school, she played licensed basketball and participated in athletics. Today, she regularly practices Pilates and plays tennis with her family.

Yeşim Makzume is married with two children, a daughter and a son. She speaks English and French, and is a licensed tennis player and a certified painter.
